For those choosing one of her Best of Banda diving liveaboard cruises, during a surface interval in-between the world class Banda Sea diving, guests will have the chance to go ashore on one of the “Spice Islands” - Banda Neira.  Famous for being the sole source of the spices nutmeg & mace until the mid 19th century, the historical town here contains an old fort from the Dutch colonial area – Fort Belgica.  Well worth the visit, atop of this landmark affords stunning views of the 656 metre still active volcano of Gunung Api.
